DeMiguel Elementary School

At DeMiguel Elementary, academic excellence is at the heart of everything we do. As the proud host of the FUSD’s Elementary Preparatory Academy, DeMiguel offers a unique “school within a school” model designed to enrich gifted and high-achieving students while maintaining strong connections to the broader campus community. Students in the Academy participate fully in all school-wide programs, including lunch, recess, specials, and activities, while engaging in fast-paced, rigorous instruction that moves beyond grade-level standards and promotes deeper conceptual understanding. Learners are placed with similarly identified peers and provided access to specialized curriculum and advanced academic opportunities, particularly for students performing above grade level in Language Arts and at or above grade level in Mathematics. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, as we partner closely with families to ensure continued academic growth and positive behavior. Through high expectations, strong collaboration with parents, and a dedication to meeting students at their level of readiness, DeMiguel fosters an environment where every child is challenged, supported, and inspired to reach new heights of achievement.
